Practising Wing Chun Kung Fu for a long time changes you. In particular it changes your nature making you more positive. It definitely makes us braver, more independent and more confident. It gives us the courage to face problems and not be afraid of difficulties that come our way, and allows us to be calm and think how we should handle things.

Everything we do will follow the principles of Wing Chun. We will think ahead and consider the consequences of our actions. During Chī Sáu 黐手 training every move we make has a response; this could be good or bad. If it is a good way we will be in a secure position, but if it is a bad we will be in a dangerous position. We should always make ourselves secure first, then go forwards to attack, whilst not taking any chances. As a result of all this training, we will become wiser and more careful. This makes us think about others, other people and even events. In the end if our Wing Chun skill is good we will be successful and have a good heart. Good Wing Chun Masters are also good people. I believe all kinds of Traditional Martial Arts will allow us reach the same level, if we follow their principles, and help us to become successful with a good heart.
