Examination by Grandmaster Ip Chun 葉準 Part 7

All the students now had their examinations and received comments from Grandmaster Ip Chun 葉準. The information and knowledge they were given was the most valuable thing. Grandmaster Ip Chun is the eldest son of the late Grandmaster Ip Man 葉問 and so all his advice is the same as that of Grandmaster Ip Man. This was important to the students because there are different forms of Wing Chun all over China, but they wanted to learn Ip Man Wing Chun, this was their chosen style of Kung Fu. Learning directly from Grandmaster Ip Chun and his senior students meant that the skill they were learning was more genuine and authentic. One thing that I noticed was that every student on the course was very gentle and kind. They were just right for Ip Man Wing Chun because this was the character of Grandmaster Ip Man. Both Grandmaster Ip Man and Ip Chun are very gentle and humble people. They study Wing Chun not for fighting, but for self-defence and the enjoyment of the philosophy of Wing Chun. Because of this they attract the same kind of people and students. I find this is the same as the students in our centre. They are all gentle and nice and get along together.

At the end all the students were issued with a certificate and took a photo with Grandmaster Ip Chun. No one failed their examination.
