Ng Mui Si Tai 五枚師太 – Part 28

Yìhm Wig Chun 嚴詠春 and her father settled down on Da Leung Shan. The former bandits all had jobs and the whole village was safe and peaceful. Everyone was happy.

One day Yìhm Yee turn to his daughter and said, “ I am still worried about one thing.” Wing Chun was surprised about this and asked, “What are you worried about?”  Her father looked at her and said, “It is your marriage.” Wing Chun turned away, red faced. Her father told her it was time for them to go back to Fújiàn 福建 to visit her fiancé, Lèuhng Bok Chàuh 梁博儔.

It was time to say goodbye to everyone. No one wanted them to leave, especially the bandits as they would lose their leader, but it was time for Wing Chun and her father to leave and it was for a right and happy reason.

Wing Chun and Yìhm Yìh 嚴二 arrived in Fújiàn and went to meet Lèuhng Bok Chàuh. Eventually they were married. Wing Chun Kung Fu was passed on to him and then passed to Lèuhng Làahn Gwai 梁蘭桂 . He passed it to Wong Wàa Bóu 黄華寶, who Lèuhng Yih Táih 梁二娣. They then taught Lèuhng Jan 梁贊, who’s student, Chàhn Wàh Seuhn 陳華順 taught my Sīgōng 師公, Ip Man 葉問. Ip man opened the skill to many people, including Bruce Lee 李小龍 and his eldest son Ip Chun 葉準 who has been my Sīfú since 1982. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to learn this amazing skill as it has changed my life!
