Crooked Nail Part 3

When you begin to study Wing Chun, you will be impressed by all the movies, internet videos, books and articles on it and they will make you think or is powerful and fast. It is true, Wing Chun is powerful and fast, but in order to reach that level you need a lot of practise and a good Sīfú 師父. We must also not forget that Wing Chun was created by a woman, Ńgh Mùih Sī Taai 五枚師太, and so we must think that our opponent is bigger and stronger than us. Being powerful and fast is fine, but what if our opponent is faster and more powerful than us? To deal with them we need to know how fast and powerful they are before they attack and so we need to feel and sense the opponent’s movements beforehand so that we can make the right judgement and then we can always be one step ahead of them. It takes time to develop this will, but when you have, it does not matter how powerful and fast they are because we will know what will happen next. It is just like life, if you know what will happen, even one minute, before it happens, then your will be the safest and luckiest person in the world. So, we cannot rush or training, other we will become a crooked nail.
